Long time ago I used to work for a big corportion. I was pretty young and 1 of the thing about my job that I enjoyed the most that time was that I was travelling a lot. I really liked the fact that I could spend one day in Berlin , one month in Amsterdam, and another month in New York. I felt that it was sort of travelling for free. Normally, I was living in London and I loved it. I had my apartment there, my colleagues, family and everything else that was making me content and what I needed to completely rest after so plenty of business trips.

And then 1 day, entirely unexpectedly, I have received that email that I was selected to set up the office in a new city. At the beginning I didn’t fully realize what it meant for me. I thought that it meant just more short travels. But then it turned out that I needed to move to Poland. Not only take trips to Poland but absolutely moved there. I gotta admit that I wasn’t sure what to think. I should also admit that I was rather sad about that. I not only had to leave on London and move to new country, but also to one of these Eastern European countries, I had never been to before. But made a decision to give it a try. It was supposed to be only for 3 years so I decide that it was not that bad after all.

So you may be curious how it happened that I have been in Poland 21 years longer? The answer is pretty simple. I simply fall in love with Poland. It wasn’t love at the beginning. It didn’t occur immediately. It took a moment. But as soon as I arrived I noticed that guys are amazing. Altough they do not smile to each other and they are rather quiet, they are very helpful always when you need their help. You can be sure that if something is going wrong, there is always a person who will react and help you. I also love Polish girls.

They are extremely charming. I am sure that it is rather needless to ass that my wife is also Polish? Additionally, I fall in love with Polish traditions. I really like that they are so close with family’ members and they spend all of those great traditional holidays together. Apparently, sometimes there were also hard days. For instance, when I couldn’t say anything in Polish and nobody around was speaking English. However then I decided to sign for polish course warsaw and now I speak Polish- more info: polish course warsaw! So as you can see – that was not always easy, but that was unquestionably worth it.
